Set-up programs which are asking stupid questions, like "which hardware address should your new card use ?".  It is very unlikely that the installing user knows (or cares), so it is much more useful to inform the user which addresses that are free and choose one or even better just figure it out without bothering the user.
	Set-up programs which are asking too many questions and too late in the process.  A set-up program should only ask for information, that it absolutely needs, otherwise it should figure things out without bothering the user.  With very big packages, all questions should be asked at the beginning and not later in the process, thereby freeing the user to do other work during the often lengthy installations.
	Set-up programs which proudly announces that "Your installation is now completed", but when using the software for the first time, you anyway receives messages about additional things that needs to be configured, in order to use the software.  This is half-hearted work and we believe that a Set-up program, should perform the complete installation, including any required configuration.

So in order to follow our own guide-lines, we have gone to great length, to make the installation of WinTCS on the PC's, so simple and automated as possible.

That means ...

	Only the Set-up program is needed to complete the installation.  All necessary program- and data-files are included inside this program.  This means simple download and distribution for you.
	The Set-up program will only need two pieces of information, in order to perform the full installation.  If you accept the default directory location suggested by the Set-up program, then only one information, which is the server name or IP-address of your TCS server. This means a very simple installation and without any extra configurations needed after the installation.
	All installation information can be supplied to the Setup program as parameters, which means that the IT department can automate the complete installation process.  This way the complete WinTCS installation can be done for the user, for example during the logon process, without any input from or interaction with the user.
	Upgrading the program is done in the same way, also with the possibility for an automated installation.

Automated installation

If you are a system administrator and don't want your users to perform the installation, you can arrange to call the Set-up program with a parameter, specifying the server name or IP-address of the TCS server, whereby the installation can be made without any input from or interaction with the user.

In this case, the user will not see any dialogue boxes, questions or messages from the Set-up program at all and the default directory location will be used.

This can be done like this :

I:\ProgramStore\WinTCS\Setup.exe  /IP=our-server.com

where the value after /IP= is the server name or IP-address of the TCS server.
