The WinTCS program is written as part of a
client/server solution, with a Microsoft Windows® program named WinTCS
running on each of the PC's, taking care of the user interface and data
presentation, including the possibility to browse incoming and outgoing
e-mail, fax and telex messages, as well as local data management like
printing, forwarding and deleting. This
WinTCS program on the PC, will communicate with the TCS server running on
the UNIX/Linux platform, via a local area network (LAN), wide area network
(WAN) or over the Internet . The TCS server will
maintain the message database, incoming and outgoing queues, as well as
the communication lines.
The three basic functions in WinTCS are :
Viewing
and managing the incoming message queue.
Viewing and
managing the outgoing message queue.
Generating new
fax messages with the fax printer driver. |
