FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions



Q: How many fax and/or telex lines does TCS support ?

A: Up to 50, in any combination of fax and telex.



Q: On which Operating System (OS) platforms does TCS run ?

A: Basically any brand of Unix or Linux.  Most of our customers runs one or more of the following Unix brands ; SuSE or RedHat Linux, IBM AIX or SCO OpenServer.



Q: On which Operating System (OS) platforms does the graphical WinTCS run ?

A: On all 32-bit versions of Microsoft Windows
® , i.e. Windows® 95/98/Me/NT/2000/2003/XP.



Q: Does TCS have an archive facility ?

A: Yes, all incoming and outgoing messages are automatically archived in a database, from which it is possible to search, view, print etc.



Q: Is it possible to limit what some users can do in TCS/WinTCS ?

A: Yes, TCS and WinTCS offers 3 different security levels and the users can also be assigned to a specific group, which has specific permissions.



Q: In which programming language is TCS and WinTCS written ?

A: In the "C" programming language, due to its high degree of portability and efficient code execution.
